This program offers a range of mentoring options, including 1-on-1 and group mentoring efforts. At The Center For Black Male Mentoring, we are dedicated to empowering youth through innovative programs and community outreach. Our goal is to educate, elevate, and empower our future leaders through substantive support and resources for local youth, their families, and our regional community, while providing a safe and supportive environment for young people to learn, grow, and thrive. Today, M2M is a community of mentors, young men, families and local leaders committed to improving outcomes for young inside and outside the classroom. In a position of such influence to the mentee and their community, choosing the right mentor for underserved youth is critical. The 100 delivers mentoring training at our annual conferences and regional training workshops, which are open to the public. This review examines research on mentoring for Blacki boys and is organized around four topics: a) its documented efectiveness; b) the extent to which mentor, youth, and program characteristics influence efectiveness; c) the processes that link mentoring to outcomes in Black male youth; and d) the extent to which eforts to provide mentoring for Sep 5, 2025 · Mentoring to Manhood (M2M) was founded in 2005 by four men concerned about the challenges facing boys of color in Prince George’s County. 100 Black Men is an international association that sponsors local mentoring initiatives geared at preparing African American boys to be productive adult citizens in society.
